Soy sauce is a great base flavour in all kinds of marinades for meat, fish or vegetables. When you're making your own marinade, use around 3 to 4 tablespoons of soy sauce for each portion

It's perfect with eggs or potatoes i.e.: devilled eggs, egg salad, mashed potato, potato salad and provides the right finishing note for simple cheese dishes like mac and cheese, raclette, or a grilled cheese sandwich.
